Old people find it harder to take a joke, according to a study by Washington University. That may not come as a surprise to some, but as far as Bill Nighy and Arthur Smith are concerned, people get funnier with age.
Take Grumpy Old Men, for example; a show where in each episode a group of well known middle-aged men discuss modern day issues that are often more petty than important. It’s spawned spin-offs, Christmas specials, and a devoted audience excited to hear what Bob Geldof has to say about parking tickets next.
