Apparently, the above are key ingredients in the recipe for longevity. Need proof? Check out Maria Gomes Valentim, a 114-year-old Brazilian woman. A few days ago, she earned the title of Oldest Living Person in the World, according to the Guinness World Records. Her secret is a breakfast of (you guessed it!) coffee, bread, and fruit. Perhaps this lends credence to the phrase, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away.” But then again, I have no idea if Brazilians – let alone Ms. Valentim – eat many apples.
